Flag Football

Four year-old flag football is no joke on Staten Island. Today was my first day, and I had a great time! My coaches are very nice and patient. They taught me cool drills to help me become a better player, and they didn't even get mad when I ripped off my teammates' flags when I was running with the ball. Stevie and Mommy cheered from the sidelines and laughed a lot. I can't wait for next Saturday!

Stevie Sings

Stevie has become quite a singer. As many young artists, she sings best when in the tub. Here is a video of her performing one of her favorite songs that Mimi taught her.

My First Day of Pre K...

was awesome. I love school. Stevie is sad because she wants to be big enough to go to school too. Maybe next year.

OBX 2009

Mommy, Stevie and I have been looking forward to our summer vacation for months! When our beach week finally arrived, we couldn't wait to hit the road. One of the great parts about heading south was stopping by Nanny's house for an overnight visit. Stevie loved picking and eating Nanny's tomatoes.

Uncle Chuck bought me a real shovel! We spent hours digging deep holes almost everyday. I'm not sure what she's talking about, but Mom says Uncle Randy might be able to give me an employment tip in a few years.
Ahgoo put in a lot of hours on the beach. He and Stevie made up a very complicated game that no one else could follow. Stevie loved it.

He was an expert hole digger as well. I guess I should have known that Uncle Chuck must have learned this skill from someone.

We really enjoyed the pool at the beach house. I took up snorkeling ("snarfing"), and Stevie decided that she much preferred skinny dipping.

Even though poor Mimi felt under the weather most of the time, she still taught Stevie how to make cinnamon biscuits. This is an experience Stevie continues to talk about, especially when she is in the mood for a sweet breakfast treat.

Here is a video of me boogie boarding. Uncle Chuck taught me everything I know.

Mommy's friend, Ms. Megan came for a couple of nights, and we love her! She was the only one brave enough to ride the waves with Stevie during the bad weather. She also gave me and Stevie kites!

Aunt Sarah was a trooper on the beach as well! Not only did she pack the best beach snacks EVER, but she also taught me how to play Wii!
