The Bo-Bo SI Children's Museum

I've visited a few children's museums in my day. By no means am I a snob when it comes to them. In fact, my standards are quite low. One would expect that they are firstly, situated in a safe neighborhood, secondly, filled with interesting toys, and lastly, are reasonably clean. Regretfully, the Staten Island Children's Museum was not able to meet any of these expectations. Who knew I had been spoiled by the Portsmouth Children's Museum?

Here, you will see we were mildly entertained by the oyster catching station.

Less impressive, was a boat on springs.

By far the best exhibit was the fire station. The costumes were pretty neat (excluding the cooties attached to them), and Stevie and I both had a good time playing on the big fire engine.

Stevie's favorite was the "push your own stroller to the parking lot" exhibit. Mom and I liked it too.

Daddy's Graduation

Last weekend, Daddy graduated from his training program. We travelled to Washington, D.C. to celebrate. Nanny, Tio Paul, Aunt Jess, Mimi, Ahgoo, and even Aunt Sue and Uncle Rick from Arizona came to celebrate!

Stevie and I really dressed up for the ceremony so that Daddy would be proud of us. We were looking good, if I do say so myself.

As always, I was on my best behavior.

It was hard to say goodbye to Uncle Rick. I had a lot of fun getting to know him again. We can't wait to have another reason to celebrate all together again.

Fun in the Tub

The bad news about our new house is that there's only one bathroom. The good news, is that we have one righteous tub. Stevie and I have a great time every night in our deep bathtub. Stevie's head is really big. It takes Mom a long time to wash it.

Drying off is fun too! Overall, we are having a great time in our new home.

Law Meets Staten Island

Here is a picture of my new house in Staten Island, NY. We actually live only on the right side of it. It feels like a miniature doll house compared to our old house, but we really like it.

The best part about New York is the pizza. Stevie and I think it is delicious. You might be surprised to hear this, but we sort of stick out here on Staten Island. As southerners, we are a novelty of sort. The first night we were here, the pizza man gave me a free t-shirt, just for being new in town! How's that for hospitality?

Cousin Katie's Shower

My cousin Katie, is getting married to Mr. Dan, in July. Another beautiful young lady will be officially off the market. In celebration, my Mimi helped throw a shower for her. Fortunately, I didn't have to attend. Like my friend Zach always says, "Men with the men and hens with the hens". Like my mom always says, "Don't say that in public places".

Stevie wore a special new dress, given to her by Nanny, for the occasion. She had a great time visiting with family. She especially enjoyed the tasty food (thanks, Aunt Sarah).
