The Bronx Zoo

I don't care what anybody says about The Bronx. They have the best darn zoo I have ever seen in my three long years of life! We spent an entire day, and I don't think I even saw half of the animals there. We are so lucky to have Ms. Suzana and Aydin as our tour guides, because I think Mom would have been a bit reluctant to venture into The Bronx alone.

My favorite was the monkey house. I gave commentary on all of the different monkey families. Aydin liked them a lot too. We wanted to stay there a long time, but Mommy and Ms. Suzana couldn't take the smell. The sea lions were also really amazing. I barked at them and they barked back, and we got to see them eat their dinner!

All three of us really liked the tiger pool. This is where the tigers' dinner hangs out. It was really neat to feel like you're under water. That's why we're going to the aquarium on our next Friday Field Trip in just a few more days.

The problem, is that when you have tired feet, and you're hot and sweaty, taking pictures isn't a big priority. Mom is the worst when it comes to that. Hopefully she'll try harder this week.

Everybody was Kung Fu Fighting

Mom thought that channeling my extra energy into something positive would be a good idea. I don't know what she's talking about, but I do know that kicking and punching is fun. For this reason, we decided Karate would be a good place to start. Mom and I definitely agree that I look darn good in a gi.

Here is a shot of me practicing my punches. I've only had two classes so far, but I already feel like I'm improving. For example, today I only got in trouble for picking my nose once. Also, Master Curry says I am very good at kiahing (that's fancy talk for shouting, "hi-yah").
Here is a link to a video of me showing off my new moves. Stevie even shares what she's learned from the sidelines. It's impressive.

My First Day of School

Today was my first day of preschool. I have been looking forward to this day for months! This morning, I was so excited that I woke up extra early. Mom thought two hours before school was too soon to wear my backpack, but I disagreed.

Stevie was sad to say goodbye this morning. Mom said she walked around the house calling for me. I don't think she could have been too upset, because it looks to me as though she was playing with my toys while I was gone.

I had a terrific first day of school, and I'm already looking forward to Thursday!

Labor Day with Mimi and Ahgoo

This weekend, Mimi and Ahgoo braved the Labor Day weekend traffic to visit us. We sure were glad they did! We didn't do anything special. We just enjoyed relaxing (sort of) and being together.

We spent a lot of time at the park. Aesop park is one of our favorites because there is a place for me to ride my bike, and there are sprinklers where we can cool off. Stevie loves to swing, especially when Mimi is pushing! My mantra whenever Ahgoo is around is, "Get me Ahgoo!" He "got" me a lot.

Life is just better after a good visit with family. Spending time with Mimi and Ahgoo make us a lot happier. I can't wait until our beach trip at the end of the month!
