Getting Ready for the Beach

I am so excited because in just a few days, I will be going to the beach with some of my favorite people. Mom has been training me up for our big trip. I have been swimming everyday, and mom has been simulating large waves in the bathtub.

Today, I practiced sitting in my new beach chair that Nanny got for me. Even with my own personal parasol attached, it was just too sunny.

So, I practiced wearing sunglasses! After all of this practicing, I think I'm all set for our big vacation.

Hot Summer Days

It's a good thing that I have a shirt like this to keep me cool on these hot summer days.

The ladies don't seem to mind it either. Thanks, Nanny!

Aidan & The Hunt Family Fiddlers

Today mom and I went to see the Hunt Family Fiddlers at the public library. My friend Aidan, and his mom got to go too! We had a lot of fun watching the family fiddle and dance.

I watched in amazement for the entire forty-five minutes! Mom says that it's too bad they can't dance and fiddle for me while she takes a shower in the morning.
Aidan was dancing as well as or better than the members of the group. He was awesome!

Visiting With Mr. Rhett & Miss Jil

On Sunday afternoon, I was so lucky because Mr. Rhett and Miss Jil came to visit me! We had so much fun. Mr. Rhett really knows how to play. I was sad when they had to leave. It's nice to have another man around the house, and I thought Miss Jil was very pretty. She made me smile a lot. I can't wait to see them again soon!

Dog Swims

Yesterday, Mom and I took my dog swimming. Swimming is one of my favorite things; and I love to go to the pool, but I have never seen a dog there!

It was so funny to see my dog chase sticks. I especially liked when she rolled around on the bank.
Mom and I were sad that the pond was very dirty and full of trash. Dog didn't mind that part because she was able to lick candybar wrappers and empty soda cans.

Here is a video of the afternoon trip to Sleepy Hole Park. You can tell that I took a very, very short nap yesterday.

Amanda Kate's New Boat

Today I went to check out Amanda Kate's new boat. It is enormous! We played on it for a long time, and it wasn't even in the water. It was fun to look over the side of the boat. We also had a great time hiding in the cooler. Of course, I couldn't help but steal a few kisses from my beautiful girlfriend. It's a good thing her Daddy wasn't around. I don't think he would have liked us playing on his boat, and I am certain he wouldn't like me smooching Amanda Kate.

The Talking Dog

Did you know that there is a talking dog at Old Navy? Well, there is. I thought he was so funny! He sits on a bench, and there is a big red button that is on his foot. Each time I pressed it, he said something different. It was amazing!

Mom said that stores would be much happier places if they all had talking dogs in them. I had to agree.

Visiting Mimi

Last weekend I visited my Mimi and Ahgoo in Orange. Mom usually complains that there isn't that much to do there, so Mimi took us out on the town.

To get things really going, Mimi let me try some of her grande coffee. It was delicious. At the coffee shop, there were toys for me to play with, though I was most interested in the scones.

The public library was pretty good! We had a great time in the children's section. I really liked the giant bear. Mimi taught me how to eskimo kiss him, since mom said that lip kissing would surely give me another virus.

In this picture, Mom and I were laughing with Mimi, not at her. She showed us a really good time in the great city of Orange. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

The Children's Museum

Last week, Mom took me to the Children's Museum in Portsmouth. We had a lot of fun! We couldn't believe how much there was to do for little boys. I explored and played there for two hours.

Here I am driving an enormous fire engine.
Driving the police motorcycle was not as thrilling as I had hoped, but it was okay.
The trains were my favorite, though you'd never know it from this picture.
In this picture, I was supposed to be searching for fossils. That seemed kind of silly, since there was so much sand to play with.

I loved watching the dump trucks drive up and down the steep hill. The problem was that I was too short to turn the crank and watch the trucks at the same time!
By far my favorite exhibit was the boat. It was on a huge waterbed, so it really moved when I jumped in and out of it. Here is a video of me checking it out.

15 Months

Yesterday was my official 15 month birthday! To celebrate, Mom took me to the doctor today. I weighed in at 24lbs, and I am now 32 inches tall. I received a good report from the doctor. He gave me a book, and I even said, "Thank you". It was great.

To the right, you can see a picture of me eating breakfast at my new table. It is fun to eat in the dining room. I think it is funny to see Mom sit in the other tiny chair across from me.

Here is a picture of me in my new chair. I like it because I really feel like a very big boy when I sit in it. I also enjoy the fact that it is a rocker. I can rock very fast in it!

The other neat thing about my chair is that I am little enough to back into it without any help. That way, I don't have to get any help when I want to sit down! I love to do things by myself.

Swimming with Nikolas

Today I was feeling a lot better, so my friend Nikolas and I went for a swim. It was the first time he had ever been swimming, but you would have never known it! We hung out in the locker room for a while after our workout in the pool. In this picture, I am telling him that he is number one.

To the right, you can see that Nikolas was laughing while I was a little sad. This is because I was trying to give Nikolas hugs and kisses, but our mommies wouldn't allow it because they say I still have a touch of the cooties. Nikolas doesn't always appreciate how I show my love for him, so he thought the whole thing was pretty funny.
